Last week I spent with the Equine Lameness Prevention Organisation examining six more farriers for their Level two and three Certified Barefoot Trimmer and Certified Natural Balance Farrier exams. All six candidates passed and I believe all went home having learnt some new techniques.

I'd like to thank everyone who kindly let us use their horses, it was a great few days. Also great to have God himself Gene Ovnicek over from Colorado as our chief examiner.

Here are two brothers Max and George Newton that I have watched grow up and excel in their riding in the last 10 years. So nice to see more boys riding.

Here is some very clear bruising which is on all four feet. All I can put this down to is a change of field onto richer grass.

Here is Twist owned by Liane Richardson he has just turned two and went for his grading recently for Eventing. Liane was over the moon and shocked to hear his potential as a possible International Eventer!! She has been asked to return with him as a three year old where they see them free schooling over jumps.

What a star he looks.
