Patching him up!!
This is a true example of "Patching something up". This pony has a defect on three feet causing these bad cracks. His work load has increased and due to the stress of Eventing his feet are looking worse nearing the end of the season.
Below you can see I have truly patched him ready for his last event of the year. I will update you over the winter on how well I manage to stabilise them.
Strange bruising
Below is some bruising I found on all four feet of a little pony. It's not an area of the heel that touches the ground and it wasn't sensitive!!
Beaver excelling himself
Below is a lovely horse bred by Virginia Russell-Wood he has just got a fourth at Horse of The Year Show as well.
Lateral thinking with Casting a foot
Below is an Arab that foundered in one foot, but on top of that she got a bad infection in the laminae.
This is showing how we stabilised the foot whilst allowing access to the infected area. Her feet are recovering really well now, with just small signs of the damaged laminae from the laminitis. She is now back in light work which is great.
What a lovely Pair
Congratulations to Yaz and Liane for doing so well this Eventing season. The boys have worked hard.
