It'll be gone on the next shoeing!

We're nearly there, I recon another 6 weeks and we can say good bye to the seedy toe. Beemer is now competing again which is such good news.

2012 Natural Balance Certification

We held another very successful Natural Balance Certification this month with another 5 farriers from across the Uk passing their Level 2 Barefoot trimming and Level 3 shoeing exams through the Equine Lameness Prevention Organisation. I was lucky enough to help with examining again and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Western Demo

The western demonstration at Brinsbury College was a great success. I really enjoyed seeing how much control you can have with a horse with extremely good training.

The demo consisted of a variety of maneuvers on experienced horses, and ended with how you would approach starting a youngster. This part was done on a 2 year old quarter horse that I shoe.
