Lofa's excessive foot growth

Lofa is a miniature Shetland who has regular attacks of Laminitis. Since I last trimmed Lofa he has suffered with another bout of Laminitis and his feet have grown excessively. So I wanted to share with you this industrial trim, bear in mind I only did him about 7 weeks previously!

Extreme miss match front feet...

This is Winnie owned by Virginia Russell-Wood. Winnie has been Supreme Champion at all the highest level shows in the UK, the Royal International, Windsor, Horse of the Year show to name just a few.

Winnie moves exceptionally well and is completely sound despite having one extreme club foot. Here are the before and after pictures of her last shoeing. There is a two size shoe difference between each foot. In this sort of case it is important to shoe each foot as an individual and never try to make them look the same or this would lead to lameness.
