Overgrown Feet > Medhurst, Marie (6)

Left Front Pre-shoeing
Marie had just bought Ushi a young mare. Ushi obviously hadn't been shod for some time and had really overgrown her shoes.
-
Right Front Pre-shoeing
Just look how damaging this is to her heels they are so under-run.
-
Left Front Post-shoeing
Much better, the shoe is now under the centre of her weight and her heels are supported.
-
Right Front Post-shoeing
Prior to shoeing we had re-named Ushi Flipper, she had such long toes when she walked she really slapped her feet down. After shoeing her action changed a lot and she immediately stopped tripping.

Left Front Comparison
Unfortunately I didn't hold the shoe quite straight but it still clearly shows the difference in shoe positioning. Look how much the break-over has been reduced.

Right Front Comparison
This picture is better you can see where I've marked the widest point of the foot also, the line towards the toe is where the natural break-over would be. With the new natural balance shoe fitted you can see the rounded edge on the toe of the shoe lines up with this.
