This is Ruby's left front she is just well over due for shoeing and her feet are very long.

The line I've drawn across the centre of the foot is marking the widest point of the foot and the centre of weight bearing ideally you should have about half the shoe in front of this line and half in front.

This is the Left Front after shoeing.

Using that centre line as reference you can now see the shoe is positioned around the centre with half in front and half behind. This will certainly prevent her from tripping like she was doing.
