Beckie Mabbutt

This is a chronic laminitic. You can see how distorted his feet get at the end of a shoeing cycle. This is typical of a severe laminitic. You get accelerated growth of the heels and due to the damage at the front of the foot there is very little stability in the hoof wall as the laminae has lost it's strong bond with  the pedal bone.
