The E.l.p.o put on another educational day teaching everyone exactly what we are looking for externally and internally when trimming. I think everyone went home full of new information.

These photos are of a cadaver limb. This horse evidently was not well taken care of. It's amazing though just with a good trim how many of these distortions can be eradicated.

I was fortunate enough to have been an examiner at another very successful E..,p.o certification. Where we tested four qualified farriers wanting to further their knowledge in Natural Balance techniques.

They all under went a 3 day intensive course with written, forging and trimming/shoeing exams.

Congratulations to all of those that took part.

Here are my little nieces Phoebe (4) and Hetty (20 months) having their first riding experience. Hetty does not look too impressed!

These are narrow heels if ever there were any! This isn't a horse I've seen, but it is shod by a local farrier Grant Laing and I thought the photo was too good to not share. I'm sure you'll agree. I believe the gap between the heels was no wider than a 5 pence piece.
